3-D Cone Beam Imaging
When planning placement of your dental implant, it’s important to take into consideration the positioning of surrounding anatomy like nerves and sinuses. Our 3-D cone beam imaging technology allows Dr. Workman to easily view these structures and pinpoint the optimal positioning for your dental implants.
Bone measurements provided by the scan give us a precise evaluation of bone thickness and help us determine in advance where the safest locations are to place implants. 3-D cone beam imaging is a significant improvement over traditional x-rays that only provide a two-dimensional image of your facial structure.
This technology also allows us to easily and comfortably take routine x-rays for children and adults who may have a strong gag reflex.
